Great Olympic suffered a disappointing start on their return to the Premier League as they lost 2-0 to AshantiGold on Sunday in Obuasi.
A goal apiece in either half helped the Miners to victory at the Len Clay Stadium.
Bernard Morrison opened the scoring after 31 minutes and his goal separated both sides going into to break.
A minute after the hour mark and the Miners were celebrating another goal as Emmanuel Baffour doubled their lead.
