Local insurance company, Glico, has presented three personal insurance packages to President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi.
The company at the presentation on Thursday announced that the packages were to compliment Nyantakyi's impending duties following his election onto the Caf Executive Committee which would involve lots of travels.
"Mr Nyantakyi, Glico celebrates your success and we are pleased to be associated with the programmes of the GFA.
"Your elevation to this new position, distinguished President of GFA, shall certainly add on to your already busy travel schedule and consequently increase your exposure to risk," Glico said a statement
A comprehensive package including - Term [death], Personal Accident and Travel Insurance Benefits valued at GHS 100,000 each was presented to Kwesi Nyantakyi.
The FA President welcomed the gesture by the company as
"I am grateful for the magnanimity shown through the presentation of the package by Glico.
"I am very humbled by the volume of support and this gesture is a further demonstration from the corporate sector. The work would involve lots of travel both within and outside the country and there are so many risks inherent. The gesture though we do not wish for any risks, would serve as a boost to motivate me and the GFA to do a good job for the country," Nyantakyi said.
