The Black Starlets’ nationwide talent identification programme will continue in the Volta Region on July 6, 2026, as coach Kassim Ocansey Mingle and his technical team continue their search for the country's most promising young footballers.
The scouting exercise will take place at the Ho Sports Stadium and is scheduled to commence at 9:00 a.m. Young players from across the region are expected to converge at the venue to demonstrate their abilities and compete for an opportunity to advance in the Black Starlets selection process.
The exercise forms part of the Association's nationwide scouting initiative aimed at identifying talented players for the next Black Starlets cycle. Coach Mingle and his technical team will closely monitor a series of matches and assessment games as they evaluate players on their technical skills, tactical awareness, physical attributes and overall potential.
The programme is specifically targeted at boys born in 2010 and 2011. Eligible players will have the chance to impress the national team selectors and earn a place in the next stage of the screening process as the technical team works towards building a formidable U-17 squad for future competitions.
Players who distinguish themselves during the Volta Regional exercise will be shortlisted for further assessment at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram. The final screening phase will provide the coaches with an opportunity to conduct a more detailed evaluation before finalizing the next Black Starlets squad.
The Volta Region scouting programme is part of a nationwide exercise designed to ensure that talented young footballers from every corner of the country are given the opportunity to showcase their abilities and pursue their dreams of representing Ghana at the international level.
