The Eastern Region have emerged as the early pacesetters in the ongoing MTN Elite U19 Championship, maintaining a perfect record after three matches to top Group A with nine points.
Their latest triumph, a hard-fought 1–0 victory over the free-scoring Brong Ahafo Region on Sunday, further underlined their title credentials.
Brong Ahafo sit second in the group with three points, having played a game fewer, while Western Region occupy third place, also on three points, following their first victory over Upper West. Northern Region have slipped to fourth and Upper West remain at the bottom of the table without a point.
In Group B, Ashanti Region have established firm control with maximum points from two matches. They are closely followed by Greater Accra, who share the same number of points but trail on goal difference. Volta Region occupy third place with five points, while Central Region sit fourth on a single point. Upper East complete the standings without a point.
