Central Region captain Desmond Korlettey continued his remarkable run of individual excellence at the 2026 MTN Elite U-19 Championship, winning his fourth Most Valuable Player award after inspiring his side to a convincing 3-0 victory over Brong Ahafo Region to claim the bronze medal.

The youngster delivered yet another match-winning performance at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram on Thursday, September 3, 2026, scoring twice as Central Region secured a deserved place on the podium.

Korlettey's latest MVP accolade adds to an already impressive collection earned during the championship.

The Central Region skipper had previously claimed the individual honour following his performances against Greater Accra Region, Northern Region and Upper East Region, before once again emerging as the standout player against Brong Ahafo.

The curtain will fall on the 2026 MTN Elite U-19 Championship when defending champions Eastern Region take on Ashanti Region in what promises to be a final of epic proportions on Friday September 4, 2026. Kick off 10am.
