Ghana saw their 2012 London Olympics qualifying hopes dealt a blow after they went down to a 0-1 defeat against Sudan on Saturday afternoon.

The Black Meteors now face a daunting task progressing to the next stage in the qualifiers when they travel to Khartoum for the reverse clash in the second-round qualifier.

A 92nd minute goal by substitute Martin Wani Khamees condemned Ghana to defeat after a rather dull exhibition of soccer by David Duncan's Black Meteors in regulation time at the Ohene Djan Stadium.

Ghana would attempt to overturn the deficit in the return leg on the weekend of April 8-10 in Khartoum.
