Medeama SC host Berekum Chelsea at Akoon Park

Medeama SC will play Berekum Chelsea at the Akoon Park on Sunday after picking a point against Real Tamale United in midweek. The Mauves and yellows are unbeaten in their last five matches, as they have won three and drawn two to move to the 7th spot with 28 points.

Berekum Chelsea have won three and lost two of their last five matches and sit in 8th place with 28 points after 19 games. Medeama SC will go into the game without a substantive manager following the exit of Umar Abdul Rabi.

The former Assistant coach who was acting as a stop gap coach after the dismissal of David Duncan left his role on Wednesday after their game against Real Tamale United at the Aliu Mahama stadium.

Nurudeen Abdulai, Vincent Atinga, Kwadwo Fordjour, Jonathan Sowah and Kwasi Donsu have the ability to keep their home record intact despite losing to Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak in the first round of the season. Legon Cities have a test against Real Tamale United at the El wak Park. The first leg ended 1-0 in favor of Legon Cities with Nasiru Moro scoring the only goal in the game. The Royals have won only once in their last five matches, drawing two and losing two.

Also on Sunday, Nsoatreman FC will battle bottom club Kotoku Royals. The two newly promoted sides are meeting in the Premier League for the second time after the first leg ended 0-0 at the Cape Coast Stadium. Nsoatreman FC are in 13th place with 24 points, winning two, losing two and drawing one in their last five matches. Kotoku Royals have won two, lost two and drawn one in their last five matches.

Fourth placed Bechem United and Bibiani Gold Stars have scores to settle at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park on Sunday. Bechem United lost their last game against Asante Kotoko whiles Gold Stars won 2-0 at home to Nsoatreman FC.

FC Samartex 1996 will host League leaders Adauana FC at home. Their first leg encounter ended 2-2 at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park and FC Samrtex are pushing for a win to make keep their survival hopes alive. The Ogya lads have 36 points with three wins and two draws in their last five matches as the new boys sit in 10th place with 26 points having won two, lost two and drawn one in their last five matches.

Sam Adams, Kwame Adom Froimpong, Kelvin Obeng and Stephen Anokye Badu are available for selection for Aduana FC whiles Ebenezer Ackhabi, Evans Osei Wusu, Seidu Abubakar also aim to start for FC Samartex 1996.
