Vice President Mark Addo, Samuel Aboabire, Prosper Harrison Addo attend 75th FIFA Congress in Paraguay

Vice President Mark Addo, Executive Council member Samuel Aboabire, and General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo (Esq.) are representing the Ghana Football Association at the 75th FIFA Congress in Asunción, Paraguay. This high-level gathering brings together 211 Member Associations to discuss key football-related topics, including committee elections and annual reports.

Some of the committees up for election include:

  • Disciplinary Committee
  • Ethics Committee
  • Appeal Committee
  • Governance, Audit and Compliance Committee

The congress is significant, especially for South American football, as the region prepares to host major tournaments, including the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup and the 2030 FIFA World Cup centenary celebration matches. Over 3,000 people are expected to participate in the congress and related activities.

Notably, Vice President Mark Addo and General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo have previously represented Ghana at FIFA congresses, including the 73rd FIFA Congress in Kigali, Rwanda, and the 74th FIFA Congress in Bangkok, Thailand.
