Liberty Professionals are into the second round of the Wafu Cup after beating Nigeria's Sunshine FC at the Ohene Djan Stadium on Sunday.

A 2-0 win qualified the Ghanaian premiership side as they advanced 5-3 on aggregate. The first leg ended in a 3-3 in Akure, a fortnight ago.

Goals from Richard Kissi 34 minutes into the first half and a Kamel Issah strike with three minutes remaining sealed Liberty's progress in the club competition.

Liberty's next opponents would be Nigerien side Sahel FC.
