Liberty Professionals managed a 1-0 victory over league debutants New Edubiase on Wednesday in their outstanding match-day-1 fixture of the Glo Premier League.

Full-back Richard Kissi scored the match winner ten minutes from time to hand Liberty their second home win of the season at the Carl Reindorf Park.

The win lifts Liberty to second place, level on points with leaders AshantiGold though the Miners have a better goal advantage after three rounds of matches.
