Kotoko held at Berekum while Hearts beat Inter Allies away

The second round of the NC Special Competition kicked off this weekend with Hearts of Oak recording a double win over Inter Allies.

Coming from a 2-1 win over Eleven is One on Wednesday, the Phobians were poised for a positive result in the second round to improve their standings on the Premier B long.

Joseph Esso and Kofi Kordzi were on target for coach Kim Grant’s side as though they will have to remain on third position on the log.

Premier A league leaders Karela FC were held to a thrilling 3-3 awaydraw against Liberty Professionals at the Carl Reindorf stadium.

Benjamin Eshun scores twice with Simon Zibo on target for the soccer professionals while Diwaisie Taylor’s brace and Solomon Sarfo helped pull the Aiyanase lads level.

WAFA also got their revenge over Dwarfs with Prosper Ahiabu and Timothee Koudo help avenge Wednesday’s defeat in Cape Coast.

Dreams FC suffered a humiliating 5-1 defeat to Elmina Sharks in the weekend’s biggest  yet shocking result.

Also in Premier A, Techiman Eleven Wonders won big away in a 3-0 victory over Bechem United.

Solomon Afriyie, Francis Antwi, Alex Asamoah were the scorers for Wonders in the BA derby game.

Premier A league leaders Asante Kotoko were held to a 0-0 draw in Berekum in their match against Chelsea with Medeama beating Aduana FC by a lone goal.

Kotoko are still on top of Premier A with 14 points, a point above Medeama while WAFA are leading the Premier B level on points with Hearts of Oak.

The NC Special Competition returns next weekend.
