Asante Kotoko delivered a ruthless derby display to humble King Faisal 3-0 in the Premier League on Wednesday.

The win at the Baba Yara Stadium reasserts the reigning champions' title credentials as they open a four-point lead at the top following defeats to their close challengers, Hearts of Oak and AshantiGold.

An own goal in the first half by Pius Baffour handed the Porcupine Warriors the lead in a late kick-off game.

Striker Seidu Bancey then bagged a brace to cement all three points for Kotoko who needed a win following their loss to AshantiGold over the weekend.

In another Premier League fixture, Hasaacas defeated Liberty Professionals 2-1 at the Essipong Stadium.

Liberty drew first blood through an own goal in the first half. But the home side soon found their rhythm and leveled the scores through Roger Lamptey before Joseph Agyemang scored late on in the game to hand Hasaacas a deserved victory.
