Eastern Region have seized a narrow lead in Group B of the ongoing 2025 KGL Foundation Inter-Regional U-17 Colts Championship in Prampram, edging Upper East on goal difference after two rounds of matches.
Eastern have collected four points from their opening fixtures, the same total as Upper East, but hold the summit thanks to a slightly superior goal record.
Ashanti Region sit third with three points, closely followed by Brong Ahafo and Central Region, who also have three points apiece but trail on goal difference. Greater Accra’s Elite Academy round out the standings in sixth place with one point from two games.
Now celebrating its fifth edition, the KGL U-17 Inter-Regional Championship has established itself as Ghana’s premier youth football showcase.
This year’s expanded 12-team tournament, featuring all ten Regional Football Associations alongside the GFA Elite Academies, continues to produce high-quality matches and spotlight emerging talent, with many past participants advancing to Ghana’s junior national teams and excelling in the domestic leagues.
