Kevin out of Congo, England games

Kevin-Prince Boateng has withdrawn from Ghana's games against Congo in the qualifying for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations and England in an international friendly.

The AC Milan midfielder, who was due to play a part in the upcoming games, but has been forced to sit out due to an ankle problem.

Boateng's fitness was in question following an ankle injury at Tottenham Hotspurs in a European Champions League game but returned for Milan in their loss to Palermo in the Serie A.

Boateng was a 53rd minute substitute for Milan at Palermo, rasing hopes of his recovery but would now have to continue his recovery programme back in Milan.
