Hearts of Oak were twice pegged back as Heart of Lions forced earned a 2-2 draw at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The result leaves the Phobians in third place and four points adrift rivals, Asante Kotoko after the first round.

A fourth minute freekick by Douglas Nkrumah opened the scoring for Hearts but twelve minutes later, Lions were level with Benjamin Fadi getting the equaliser.

Both sides finished the first half 1-1. But five minutes into the start of the second half, Hearts raced into the lead again, this time through Mahatma Otoo.

Lions fought back and were rewarded ten minutes later when Emmanuel Annafi struck in the and the 70th minute to deny Hearts of Oak a home victory.
