Ghana's hopes of advancing beyond the group stage at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup suffered a setback following a 1-0 defeat to Germany on Thursday.

An injury-time winner from substitute Lina Magull gave the reigning world champions the win which ended the Black Princesses hopes in the Group D contest in Hiroshima.

The defeat was the second for Ghana after their opening day loss to the United States.

Robert Sackey's side can bow out with grace if they manage to win against China PR in the last group match on Monday in Saitama.
