The construction of a multi-purpose hall and a gymnasium at the Ghana Football Association's Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence is 70% complete.
Work has been progressing steadily since President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku cut the sod for the construction of the additional facility at the technical centre in August 2024.
The facility, funded through a combination of FIFA Forward Funds and internally generated resources, is set to become a comprehensive sports and rehabilitation complex.
Once completed, the multi-purpose hall will house a modern gymnasium, a swimming pool, and a Futsal arena, providing athletes with world-class resources for training, recovery, and recreation
Simultaneously, the GFA has commenced the construction of two natural grass pitches at the GSCE, which will bring the total number of natural turfs at the facility to three, in addition to two Artificial pitches.
The Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence has seen a major facelift as the facility currently boasts of 4 dormitories, an administrative block, a changing room, and three football pitches, including two Astro pitches, with one equipped with floodlights.
The Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence, regarded as a vital hub for football development in Ghana, is poised to further solidify its status as a premier training facility with these latest improvements.
The upgraded facilities will not only benefit the national teams but also provide a platform for aspiring footballers to hone their skills and realize their full potential.
