Ghana’s U-15 Girls have secured their place at next year’s CAF African Schools Football Championship after finishing second in the WAFU B qualifiers in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

The talented young side advances to the continental finals as defending champions, having lifted the trophy at the University of Ghana in April this year.

Led by coach Sandra Boakye, the team earned a silver-medal finish at the regional competition, which concluded on Thursday, December 4, 2025.

This year’s WAFU B event featured both boys’ and girls’ U-15 divisions. In the boys’ category, six nations—Burkina Faso, Niger, Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, Nigeria and champions Benin—competed for the top prize. In the girls’ division, host nation Burkina Faso claimed the title, with Ghana finishing a commendable second.

The CAF African Schools Football Championship forms a key part of CAF’s broader commitment to grassroots football development, offering young players invaluable exposure and competitive experience on the continental stage.
