GFA safety and Security seminar comes off Friday

The Ghana Football Association shall on Friday, September 2, 2022 organize a Safety and Security Refresher seminar ahead of the start of the football season.

The seminar, aimed at bringing together all stakeholders in the safety and security framework of Ghana football, is to further broaden the latest perceptions and considerations for football organization.

The Online Seminar will have in attendance CEOs and Safety and Security Officers of all Premier, Division One and Women’s Premier League Clubs as well as Chairmen of the Regional Football Associations.

Acting Chairman of the Safety and Security Committee, LT/Col Donald Asare shall lead the discussions with support from compatriots Nick Owusu, a FIFA/CAF Safety and Security Officer and Trainer and Julius Ben Emunah, the GFA / CAF Safety and Security officer and Trainer to throw more light on the major threats and recommendations to consider in these difficult times.

Also in attendance to assist in the discussions will be WAFU Zonal Safety and Security Officer DCOP Lydia Donkor. The program shall start at 14:00 GMT.

The GFA Competitions, Compliance, Refereeing and Communications departments will also be in attendance.

Some of the issues to be looked at include; Stewarding, Ticketing, Crowd Management, Challenges of Safety and Security in the Ghanaian Leagues and the way forward, Summary Of misconduct at the just ended Season and Accreditation.

Others are Contingency and emergency planning, Protecting players and officials, Roles of the club Safety and security officer, stakeholder Issues and many more.
