The Football Association and the wider football community came together on Wednesday to pay their final respects to the late Dominic Frimpong, who was laid to rest in his hometown of Assin Dansame.

The solemn funeral ceremony drew a significant gathering of football stakeholders, traditional leaders, family, friends and sympathizers, all united in grief to honor the memory of a young life lost too soon.

Representing the GFA were Executive Council members Frederick Acheampong and Eugene Nobel Noel, alongside Central Regional Football Association Chairman Robert Otieku Duncan, club officials and members of the broader football fraternity.

Dominic Frimpong, a promising talent who was on loan at Berekum Chelsea FC from Aduana FC, tragically lost his life earlier this month following an armed robbery attack involving the team’s bus.

The final funeral rites, held in Assin Dansame, were marked by tributes, reflections and an outpouring of emotion as the football community gathered to celebrate his life and legacy.

May his soul rest in perfect peace.
