The GFA Elite Academy teams from Bolgatanga and Kumasi will join the ten regional U-17 Colts teams for the sixth edition of the KGL Foundation Inter-Regional U-17 Colts Championship, scheduled for October 3–10, 2026, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
The Northern and Middle Belt Elite Academy teams, represented by Bolgatanga Senior High School (BIG BOSS) and Prempeh College in Kumasi, will participate in the talent identification tournament alongside the ten Regional Football Association sides.
The regional teams include representatives from the Greater Accra, Ashanti, Brong Ahafo, Upper East, Eastern, Central, Volta, Upper West, Northern and Western Regions.
The 12 participating teams will be drawn into groups to compete in a highly competitive seven-day championship, providing a national platform for some of Ghana’s most promising young footballers to showcase their talent.
Sponsored by the KGL Foundation, the championship is focused on talent identification and development, offering emerging U-17 players an opportunity to gain valuable competitive experience while attracting the attention of scouts and development coaches.
The tournament forms part of the broader player-development pathway, with the sixth edition expected to play a key role in identifying and nurturing the next generation of Ghanaian football talent.
