The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has paid a solemn visit to the family of the late Stephen Appiah, former General Manager of PAC Academy, who passed away about two weeks ago.

The visit, which took place on Thursday, was led by GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku and formed part of the Association’s commitment to standing with its members and stakeholders in difficult times.

Stephen Appiah, until his passing, was a highly respected figure in Ghanaian football administration. He previously served as General Manager of the former Division One League side Achiken FC before joining PAC Academy in the same capacity. Appiah was also an Executive Committee Member of the Ashanti Regional Football Association, where he contributed significantly to the growth and development of grassroots football.

The GFA delegation included Vice President Mark Addo, Executive Council member Frederick Acheampong, GFA Chief of Staff Michael Osekere, and Abdulai Amidu (Camarat), a member of the National Juvenile Committee. They expressed their condolences to Mrs. Appiah and the bereaved family, offering words of comfort and support during their time of grief.

Thursday’s visit followed an earlier appearance by the GFA delegation at the funeral of the late Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III, where they joined Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and other dignitaries to pay their respects.

The Ghana Football Association acknowledged Appiah's immense contributions to football in the Ashanti Region, particularly at the juvenile and Division One levels.
