Four Ghanaian referees have been appointed to officiate the CAF-Champions League first round clash between El Merriekh SC Bentiu of South Sudan and Pyramids FC of Egypt.

FIFA Referee Charles Benle Bulu will lead the quartet as the centre referee for the encounter. He will be assisted by compatriots Theophilus Aberenga Akugre (Assistant Referee I) and Richard Kweku Nartey (Assistant Referee II), while Julian Nii Akwa Nunoo will serve as the Fourth Official.

The match is scheduled for Friday, October 16, 2026, at the Juba National Stadium in South Sudan. Kick-off is at 15:30 GMT (13:30 Local Time).

Somalia's Amir Abdi Hassan has been appointed as the Match Commissioner, with Ethiopia's Lidya Tafesse Abebe acting as the Referee Assessor.

The appointment is a testament to the growing confidence of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in Ghanaian referees on the continental stage.
