FIFA Technical expert Thuba Bridgette Sibandda kicks off U15 Girls Regional Colts League in Greater Accra
The U15 Girls Regional Colts League has kicked off successfully in the Greater Accra Region, marking an important milestone in the development of grassroots women’s football in Ghana.
The ceremonial kick-off was performed by FIFA Technical Expert, Thuba Bridgette Sibandda, alongside officials from the League Board and the Ghana Football Association (GFA), officially ushering in the start of the competition under the FIFA League Development Programme.
Ridge City Women emerged victorious with a 2–1 win, showcasing skill, discipline and determination in a closely contested fixture.
The successful start of the league reflects the GFA’s commitment to providing structured competitive platforms for young female footballers at the grassroots level.
The U15 Girls Regional Colts League is designed to nurture talent, promote participation and create a clear development pathway for girls aspiring to reach higher levels of the game.
