FIFA TDS: Central Region Maintains Fine Form as Match Day Four of Elite U15 Boys Colts championship Produces Exciting Results

The 2026 GFA Elite U15 Boys Championship continued with another thrilling round of fixtures on Matchday Four at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, as teams battled for valuable points and opportunities to impress scouts and technical observers.

On Pitch 1, the Upper East Region and Upper West Region played out a closely contested 1-1 draw. The Upper East Region, however, secured the bonus point after edging their opponents 9-8 in a dramatic penalty shootout. Despite the defeat, Upper West Region captain Enoch Zaato was named Player of the Match for his outstanding performance.

The second fixture saw the Central Region continue their impressive campaign with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over the Greater Accra Region. Peter Kofi Addo scored the decisive goal with a thunderous free-kick and was deservedly named Player of the Match.

In the final game on Pitch 1, Elite Academy – Prempeh College shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw with the Brong Ahafo Region. Brebi Michael gave Prempeh College the lead in the first half before Osborn Domakaa struck late to restore parity for Brong Ahafo. Domakaa's influential display earned him the Player of the Match award.

On Pitch 2, the battle of the elite academies between Elite Academy – Achimota SHS and Elite Academy – Bolgatanga SHS ended 1-1. Bolgatanga SHS went on to claim the bonus point after winning the penalty shootout 5-4.

The Eastern Region recorded an impressive 3-1 victory over the Volta Region in the second game of the day. Rashid Adjetey Sowah was the star performer, scoring a brilliant goal and providing an assist to earn the Player of the Match accolade.

The final fixture on Pitch 2 saw Elite Academy – Bolgatanga SHS complete a successful day with a narrow 1-0 victory over the Western Region.

The championship enters its penultimate day on Tuesday with six more matches scheduled. The tournament will conclude on Wednesday with a special showcase match featuring two select sides drawn from the best talents identified throughout the competition.

The championship, which forms part of FIFA's Talent Development Scheme (TDS), continues to provide an excellent platform for discovering and nurturing the next generation of football stars in Ghana.
