The FIFA Member Association Instructors Course has officially commenced at La Tua Villas in Prampram, bringing together a selected group of technical and fitness refereeing instructors from across Ghana.

The course, which runs from Friday, July 11 to Tuesday, July 15, 2025, forms part of FIFA's ongoing commitment to strengthening referee education and capacity-building ahead of the upcoming 2025/26 football season.

A total of 40 participants, comprising 21 Technical Instructors and 19 Fitness Instructors, are undergoing intensive training sessions tailored to enhance their expertise, instructional delivery, and understanding of modern refereeing standards and expectations.

The course is being facilitated by highly experienced FIFA experts, including Mohammed Ali from Somalia, serving as the FIFA Technical Instructor, and Houssein Ali Mohammed from Djibouti, the appointed FIFA Fitness Instructor.

Also present at the opening of the course were key figures from the Ghana Football Association (GFA), including Christine Zigah, Chairperson of the Referees Committee, and Alex Kotey, Director of the GFA Referees Department.

The course also brings together all Futuro III-trained GFA FIFA Technical and Fitness Instructors.

The program covers both theoretical and practical modules, with a strong focus on integrated training, where technical and physical components are combined on the field.
