Dakar hosts Senegal vs. Ghana World Cup qualifier on March 3

The Black Maidens of Ghana will kick start their 2022 FIFA Women’s U-17 World Cup Qualifiers in Dakar, Senegal on March 3, with the return leg slated for March 19 in Ghana.

In the wake of the qualifying campaign, the GFA has lined up series of international friendlies with Morocco and Egypt to ensure adequate preparation for the task ahead.

The Black Maidens have been to six World Cup competitions since its inception in 2008 having finished third in Azerbaijan in 2012.

The 2022 edition of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup will be hosted in India, after it was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It will be the second time that India hosts a FIFA tournament after the men's 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup, and the first time that India hosts a FIFA women's football tournament.
