Coach Samuel Boadu and midfielder Salifu Ibrahim will make their Hearts of Oak bow against WAFA on match day 17 of the Ghana Premier League at the Accra sports stadium on Sunday.

Former Medeama coach Boad, has been appointed to replace Kosta Papic whose second romance with the rainbow club ended on rocks after he accused management of interference. Hearts of Oak picked one point against arch-rivals Asante Kotoko in the Super clash played last weekend and would count on it going into this duel against WAFA.

The Phobians lie fifth on the league table with 24 points, four points behind league leaders Karela United who are on 28 points.

Hearts of Oak new signing Ibrahim Salifu is also expected to make his debut against WAFA.

it’s a privilege to serve Hearts. I thank the club for reposting confidence in me. This is the best playing opportunity most players desire to have. I will contribute my quota to bring success to this team”, Salifu said on joining the Ghana Premier League giants.

WAFA may not be strong in their away games this season but have a good record against the Phobians. The Sogakope lads sit in 9th place with 22 points. They have lost all three games in their last three visits to the capital after defeats to Great Olympics, Legon Cities and Inter Allies.

The game comes off on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
