The Ghana team officially got their Africa Cup of Nations preparations started on Saturday in Accra with fourteen more days to the start of the competition.

Having taking a look at a host of his called up players during the festive period, Avram Grant took the Black Stars through their paces at the Carl Reindorf Park in the capital Saturday afternoon as they build-up for this month's tournament in Equatorial Guinea.

Captain Asamoah Gyan and 24 other players who had been involved in informal training sessions during their holidays were all available.

The training was the final send-off for the Black Stars, who travel to Seville in Spain to continue with their preparations.

Newly appointed fitness trainer Jamie Lawrence got the day's workout started when he led the players through fitness exercises before Grant and his assistant Maxwell Konadu took charge of the session.

Ghana has been placed in Group C alongside Senegal, South Africa and Algeria.

The tournament starts from 17 January to 8 February this year.
