Black Stars' Doctor, Prince Pambo, met with Francis Abu in Toulouse on Wednesday to show support and solidarity to the player following his injury in an international friendly in November last year.
The 25-year-old is currently recovering from a fractured leg injury sustained during a match against Japan in Nagoya in November 2025.
The visit allowed the head of the Black Stars' medical team to assess Abu's fitness progress since starting rehabilitation three months ago. Abu has been doing rehabilitation drills in the gym, aiming to return to individual and group training soon.
Francis Abu made his Ghana debut against Uganda in March 2024 and has gone on to play 6 international matches for the senior national team.
The Ghana Football Association's efforts aim to show appreciation and support to national team players during tough times.
Dr. Pambo’s visit follows a similar exercise he conducted on Tuesday, visiting Monaco’s Mohammed Salisu.
Ghana will participate in the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Canada, Mexico, and the United States, having qualified for their 5th World Cup, and is paired with England, Panama, and Croatia in Group L.
