The Black Queens have touched down in Southampton as preparations enter their final phase ahead of the much-anticipated international friendly against the Lionesses of England.

The team travelled from Birmingham on Sunday morning, arriving around noon as they gear up for one of the toughest tests in recent years.

The Black Queens have spent the past days camping in Birmingham, where training was held at the elite Bodymoor Heath Training Ground, home to Premier League side Aston Villa and played a closed-door friendly against Aston Villa Women to sharpen the rough edges.

Upon arrival in Southampton, the Queens were received by the Ghanaian community and treated to some Ghanaian meals before checking in at the plush Hilton Hotel in Utilita Bowl.

A first training session will be held later in the evening as preparations continue for the game on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
