As the Black Maidens finalize preparations for their FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup opener against Norway, Head Coach Joe Nana Adarkwa says his side is ready for the test.

Reflecting on their two-week training camp in Rabat, Coach Adarkwa says he has seen steady progress within the squad.

"The girls are doing very well," he said, noting that the team has improved steadily in training since arriving in Morocco.

While acknowledging a slow start in their pre-tournament friendlies, the gaffer believes the team has now found its rhythm.

"Our first match was not all that good; we lost. But our second match was much improved," he stated.

Adarkwa also praised the excellent facilities and pitches in Morocco, noting that the comfortable environment is helping the players perform at their best.

On tactics, the coach was emphatic that the Maidens will stay true to their principles.

"We have our game plan and we are going to stick to it," Adarkwa affirmed, adding that the focus is to execute the plan effectively to secure a positive result against Norway.

The Black Maidens coach described the World Cup as a big platform every coach dreams of.

"This is a big platform that any coach wants to be on, and I'm happy to have this platform," he said.

He stressed that the main target is to progress from the group stage and make Ghanaians proud by following the legacy of past national teams.

"Our main focus is to move up from the group stage. We want to follow the same legacy so that Ghanaians will be happy," he concluded.
