Army Ladies’ Abane and Ampem Darkoa’s Afoakwa lead NASCO Coach of the month nominations

Two outstanding coaches have been nominated for the Nasco Electronics Coach of the Month award for October/November in the 2025/26 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League. Benedictus W. Abane (Army Ladies) and William Afoakwa (Ampem Darkoa Ladies) are the standout tacticians from the opening rounds of the season. Both coaches guided their sides through unbeaten runs during the period under review, demonstrating tactical depth, consistency, and strong leadership.

Benedictus W. Abane – Army Ladies

Abane’s Army Ladies have been one of the revelations of the season so far. Under his guidance, the team played three matches, finishing with three wins, three draws, and no losses. His side showed impressive defensive discipline and resilience, often grinding out crucial points in tight contests.

William Afoakwa – Ampem Darkoa Ladies

Afoakwa, coaching the reigning league champions, once again demonstrated why Ampem Darkoa remain a dominant force in Ghanaian women’s football. In four matches, his side recorded three wins, one draw, and zero losses.
His team played with authority and attacking intent and despite constant pressure at the top, he has kept Ampem Darkoa firmly in the chase for yet another title.

Winner of the monthly award goes home with a 40" NASCO digital satellite TV and a 150-litre chest freezer.
