Premier League champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies will carry Ghana’s hopes into the CAF Women’s Champions League WAFUB Qualifiers, scheduled to take place in Ivory Coast from August 13 to 26, 2026.
The reigning Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League champions head into the regional competition with high expectations, aiming to secure qualification to the CAF Women’s Champions League later in the year.
Having established themselves as one of Ghana’s dominant forces in recent seasons, Ampem Darkoa are determined to translate their domestic success onto the continental stage.
This will not be unfamiliar territory for the club. Ampem Darkoa have represented Ghana in previous editions of the WAFU B qualifiers, most notably lifting the zonal title in the 2022/23 season. That triumph earned them a place at the CAF Women’s Champions League, where they finished an impressive fourth.
The team is expected to mount a strong challenge against the best clubs in the West African zone with a clear objective of claiming the WAFU B crown to secure a return to the main continental competition.
