Aduana Stars' hopes of progressing past the preliminary round of the Caf Champions League on their continental debut has come crashing.

The Dormaa side could only beat Moroccan side Wydad Athletic Casablanca 1-0 at home thus failing to overturn 0-3 deficit from the first leg in Casablanca.

Bernard Don Bortey converted a penalty in the 37th minute after a ball hit the hand of an opponent as Wydad went through 3-1 on aggregate.

The North Africans will now meet Kano Pillars of Nigeria in the next stage of the competition.
