Adu Kwabena, Kelvin Nkrumah, Prince Owusu get debut call-ups as Otto Addo names squad for Japan, South Korea friendlies
Czech Republic based striker Prince Kwabena Adu, Medeama SC winger Kelvin Nkrumah, and FC Montreal forward Prince Osei Owusu have been handed debut call-ups for this week’s international friendlies against Japan and South Korea.
Prince Kwabena Adu, a former player of Bechem United, has been very consistent for his side in the Czech Republic and has been handed a chance to fight for a place in the team.
CF Montreal striker Prince Osei Owusu, who played the last two seasons for Toronto FC where he scored nine goals in 31 games, was born in Wertheim, Germany. Owusu is a product of the VfB Stuttgart academy, where he began his professional career with the reserve team in 2015. He joined TSG Hoffenheim in 2017, where he scored 17 goals over two seasons. In 2018, Owusu continued his path in Bundesliga 2 with Arminia Bielefeld before going on loan to German third-division club TSV 1860 Munich, scoring eight goals and six assists in all competitions.
He has been on the radar of the Black Stars technical team following his consistent performances for his club.
Also in the squad is Medeama SC winger Kelvin Nkrumah, who has taken the ongoing Ghana Premier League by storm, helping his side reach second spot in the league table with dazzling performances.
Otto Addo is expected to hold his first training session in Nagoya on Wednesday ahead of the 2025 Kirin Cup against Japan on Friday, November 14, 2025.
