Accra Sports Stadium to host the 2025–26 Access Bank Division One League Zone One playoff

The Accra Sports Stadium will host the Access Bank Division One League Zone One playoff between Tamale City and Debibi United, scheduled for Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

Tamale City previously secured promotion to the Ghana Premier League for the 2022–23 season after topping a playoff involving Ebusua Dwarfs and Liberty Professionals to fill the slot left vacant by AshantiGold SC. However, they lasted just one season in the top flight, finishing 16th with 42 points and suffering relegation. During that campaign, they also lost a playoff encounter to Nsoatreman FC.

Tamale City finished the current campaign as winners of Zone One A, while Debibi United topped Zone One B to book their place in the playoff. Debibi United are chasing a historic first-ever appearance in the Ghana Premier League after an impressive and dominant run in Zone One B of the Access Bank Division One League.
