Access Bank DOL: League leaders Skyy FC beat Asekem, Nations FC thrash Future Stars in Zone Two

Leaders Skyy FC scored in injury time to beat Asekem 2-1 to maintain their five point lead at the top of the table in Zone Two. Eric Ametepe scored in the 28th minute to put the home side ahead but Martin Karikari equalized in the 43rd minute for Skyy FC. The leaders close to scoring but failed to add to their tally until the 90th minute when they got the winner through an own goal. Skyy FC thus maintains the five point gap at the top of the table in Zone Tw as Nations continues to breathe down their neck.

Second placed Nations FC beat Future Stars 4-1 at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports complex on Sunday. Douglas Amoaning grabbed the opener for Nations FC in the 12th minute before Asamoah Boateng Afriyie doubled the lead for the home team as the first half ended 2-0. Back from the break, Gariba Abubakari scored in the 58th minute before Frank Amoah Okyere put the nail in the coffin in the 70th minute. With 8 minutes to end proceedings, Samuel Kwarteng scored to make it 4-1 for Nations FC.

Swedru All Blacks beat Basake Holy Stars 2-1 at home. Erick Ackah was on the score sheet in the 18th minute to put the home team in the lead but his goal was cancelled by Eric Ackah in the 40th minute as the first half ended 1-1. Kusi Appiah doubled the lead in the 62nd minute as Swedru All Blacks cruised to a 2-1 win at the Swedru Park.
