The 2026 KGL Foundation Inter-Regional U-17 Colts Championship is set to provide another exciting platform for Ghana’s emerging football talents, with the seventh-day competition scheduled for October 3–10, 2026, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
The ten participating regional teams will arrive at the GFA Technical Centre on Friday October 2, 2026, ahead of the competition. Upon arrival, the teams will undergo FIFA Safeguarding orientation sessions as part of preparations for the championship.
The participating teams will be divided into two groups of five, setting the stage for a highly competitive battle as the country’s best young footballers seek to impress talent scouts and development coaches.
The KGL Foundation-sponsored championship is primarily focused on talent identification and development, offering promising Under-17 colts players from across the country a national platform to demonstrate their ability, potential and footballing quality.
The competition forms part of the implementation of the GFA's Talent Development Scheme (TDS), which is designed to identify, nurture and develop the next generation of Ghanaian football stars.
The sixth edition of the KGL Foundation Inter-Regional U-17 Colts Championship will bring together the finest Under-17 Colts players from the ten Regional Football Associations, giving them the opportunity to compete at a national level, gain valuable experience and take another important step in their football development journey.
