The Football Association has announced the participants for the Licence D Coaching Course in the Central Region, with 40 aspiring coaches set to undergo intensive training from September 14 to 21, 2026, at the Robert Mensah Stadium.
The programme is aimed at equipping participants with essential technical knowledge, practical coaching skills and a strong foundation for a career in football coaching. It will combine classroom-based learning with practical sessions, giving participants valuable hands-on experience while deepening their understanding of modern coaching principles and methodologies.
A key component of the course will be GFA/FIFA Safeguarding training, designed to ensure participants understand their responsibilities in protecting the welfare, safety and development of young players.
The initiative forms part of the GFA’s broader commitment to strengthening grassroots football development by building a growing pool of qualified, knowledgeable and responsible coaches capable of identifying, nurturing and guiding emerging talent.
The training will be supervised by GFA Technical Director Professor Joseph Kwame Mintah and Head of Coach Education Dr Prosper Nartey, who will provide technical direction and oversight throughout the programme.
