Addressing Congress on Thursday August 20, 2026, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, the President said the initiative had already delivered substantial transportation support to clubs and football administration across the country.
The GFA President said the FA had successfully implemented a comprehensive Bus Strategy over the past few years, resulting in the distribution of 13 buses to Women’s Premier League (WPL) and Division One League (DOL) clubs.

The intervention is aimed at improving mobility and administrative efficiency while supporting football development and operations at the regional and national levels.
President Simeon-Okraku also announced that the GFA would distribute five additional buses to deserving clubs under the FA's enhanced Merit Awards Programme.
The vehicles are being presented in recognition of clubs that demonstrated excellence and outstanding performances during the 2024/25 season.
