The Best XI of the 2026 MTN Elite U-19 Championship has been unveiled following the successful conclusion of the 11-day Second Division youth competition at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram on Friday, September 4, 2026.
The Team of the Tournament features some of the most outstanding young talents who illuminated the championship with promising performances, consistency and quality as they represented their respective regions.
Newly crowned champions Ashanti Region lead the way with three players earning places in the prestigious Best XI, highlighting their impressive campaign and eventual triumph in the competition.
Goalkeeper Kelvin Osei Owusu, defender Morgan Asenso and midfielder Issah Seidu were all recognised for their outstanding contributions as Ashanti Region powered their way to the championship title.
Brong Ahafo Region also contributed two players to the Best XI, with Frimpong Jnr and Osafo Antwi receiving recognition for their performances during the championship.
Central Region's strong representation included Prince Boateng and the tournament's Most Valuable Player, Desmond Korlettey, whose remarkable performances made him one of the standout stars of the entire competition.
Greater Accra's Teye Enoch and Upper East Region's Rashid Yakubu completed the star-studded list.
