Ghana have defeated Rwanda 1-0 in their 2017 AFCON qualifying match played at the Amhoro Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Mubarak Wakaso's 88th minute freekick gave coach Avram Grant's side the win as Ghana maintain their lead on top of Group H.

With skipper Asamoah Gyan out due to injury, Swansea midfielder Andre Ayew wore the Black Stars captain's armband.

Jordan Ayew and Boakye-Yiadom started upfront for coach Avram Grant's side.

The Black Stars now have 6 points and 8 goals after two games in the group stage of the qualifiers.

Mauritius will host Mozambique in the other Group H Match which will be played on Sunday.
