Real Tamale United ended their unimpressive run of results as coach Abdul Razak masterminded a win over his former club, Asante Kotoko, at the Tamale Sports Stadium on Wednesday.

A 1-0 win by the Tamale-based team saw them hand the table toppers their second league defeat and thus end their four-game losing run in their outstanding match-day-16 league game.

Kabiru Imoro’s 49th minute goal separated both sides as Real Tamale United claimed the spoils in a game that their goalkeeper, Charles Kipo throughout the match showed great form to deny the Reds a goal.

Asante Kotoko, who were struggling to find the back of the RTU net also finished the match with ten players after Isaac Anderson was handed the red card for a foul on an opponent.
