The second Champions League place has been decided in the OneTouch Premier League but the third club that gets relegated can only be determined on the final day of the season.

With two relegation places confirmed, the final day of competition will be a tense affair for the 13th and 14th placed clubs on the standings.

Sekondi Hasaacas and Real Sportive will go into next weekend’s final round of games in the OneTouch Premier League all in danger of going down. A win for Hasaacas would condemn Sportive to the lower league.

Saturday’s round of matches saw Heart of Lions pick up Ghana’s second slot to play in the African Champions League in the upcoming season after finishing second behind Asante Kotoko.

The Kpando-based side consolidated their position at second with a thumping 4-0 win over relegated Accra Great Olympics.

Lions deservedly won the game with goals from Stephen Owusu, Dominic Adiyah and a brace by Isaac Morgan.

It is the second time Lions has qualified to play in Africa even though they pulled out in 2005 and incurred the wrath of CAF in the process.

Liberty Professionals’ hope for a Champions League place is finished and can now only settle for a Top 4 finish after losing 2-1 at home to Gamba All Blacks at home in Dansoman.

Asante Kotoko maintained a 13-point lead after beating Zaytuna FC 2-1 at the Ohene Djan Stadium. The league’s leading goalscorer, Eric Bekoe scored both goals for the highflying Reds.

The defeat condemns Zaytuna back to the Division One League after just one season in the topflight league.

In Tamale, Wa All Stars guaranteed themselves a place in the topflight league after beating Real Tamale United 2-0 with goals from Isaac Ofori and Abdul Naza.

Kessben FC and King Faisal drew goalless at Anane Boateng Stadium while Hearts of Oak and AshantiGold shared the spoils at the Ohene Djan Stadium in their 1-1 drawn game.

A goal by Eric Asiedu saved the blushes of Tema Youth as they moved clear off relegation after posting a 1-0 win over Sekondi Hasaacas at the Tema Park.

For Hasaacas, the battle to avoid the drop continues as they need a win to remain in the elite division on the last day and Real Sportive stumble.

Berekum Arsenal maintained their unbeaten run at home intact, stretching two seasons after posting a 2-1 win over Real Sportive at the Golden City Park.
