Bernard Dong Bortey's debut for Aduana FC ended in defeat as the champions went down 1-0 to AshantiGold in the Top-4 competition.

Aduana, making their debut in the lucrative pre-season tourney organised by the Ghana League Clubs Association were undone in the 30th minute from a freekick at the Len Clay Stadium.

Eric Fordjour, a new signing for AshantiGold curled in the ball past goalkeeper Stephen Adams after referee Joseph Lamptey had awarded the Miners a freekick.

Dong Bortey, a former Hearts of Oak player attempted to draw Aduana level from a similar position in the second half but his shot went too wide.

In the other game, Hearts of Oak and Heart of Lions shared the spoils in their 2-2 draw at the Ohene Djan Stadium.

Osei Pele put the Phobians in the lead after seven minutes but their lead was cut by Gilbert Fiamenyo, ten minutes later.

Pele completed the double when he restored Hearts' lead in the 75th minute but again, Fiamenyo was hand to equalise for Lions five minutes later.
