The Premier League Board has confirmed September 5, 2010 as the start date for the new season.
According to the PLB, the date for the 2010/2011 league season has been ratified by the Executive Committee of the Ghana Football Association.
Aduana Stars will be defending the title won last season as the Glo Premier League welcomes three new promoted sides, Ebusua Dwarfs, Mighty Jets and B.A. Stars to the top-flight competition.
The PLB says player registration and verification process for the 16-team premiership will end on August 18, 2010 after which the season will kick off.
Below are the new dates for the programme leading to the start of the 2010/2011 Premier League season:
May 21 2010 - Registration of players begins
August 4, 2010 - End of Registration
August 11, 2010 - Publication of registered players
August 18, 2010 - Verification of registered players
