Aduana Stars will continue to remain top of the Glo Premier League if they avoid defeat at home, while AshantiGold travel to Kpando to face Heart of Lions.

There are eight games in the post-independence day fixtures as the premiership heads into match-day-21 this weekend with a derby on the roster, but there is still big interest at both ends of the table.

Beechem Chelsea have been struggling all season and being two points above the bottom-placed side, they would need an improved display to earn them a point or possibly a win when they travel to Dormaa to play leaders, Aduana.

The league debutants are still unbeaten at home but they would seek to hold onto top spot and wish that results involving other contenders go their way.

One of such games that fans of Aduana would be following closely is the game in Kpando where AshantiGold, who are second with just one point separating them from the top clash with Heart of Lions, another side pushing for a good finish after some poor displays in the first round of the season.

The weekend continues to hand out mouthwatering clashes with the Accra derby between Hearts of Oak and Great Olympics, another big game to look up to.

Both sides would gather at the Ohene Djan Stadium in a game that Olympics would seek to avoid another defeat to their city rivals.

However, for the Phobians, the quest for the title means a win over their rivals is most needed at this time of the season.

Asante Kotoko faces a tricky trip to Sekondi where they play bottom side, Hasaacas.

The form guide pits the Porcupine Warriors as favorites but with relegation almost getting the better of them, Hasaacas, can rise up to the occasion and cause an upset.

Kessben FC’s push of regaining their place in the top-four would be tested at the Carl Reindorf Park where they play Liberty Professionals.

A new chapter for former Ghana international at New Edubiase did not get off to a good start after defeat to Asante Kotoko on Wednesday but the Obuasi-based side would attempt to get things right when All Stars come visiting.

The Tamale Sports Stadium will host the game between Real Tamale United and Berekum Arsenals while King Faisal play at home to Eleven Wise at the Baba Yara Stadium in a game that both sides need the points to keep them off the drop zone.
