Kessben FC finished match-day-8 with a four-point lead at the top of the table after beating second-placed, Berekum Arsenals 2-0 at the Anane Boateng Stadium.

Edmund Owusu Peprah and Bismark Idan scored both goals to maintain Kessben's lead at the top.

The spoils were shared in the big derby at the Baba Yara Stadium as Asante Kotoko came back from a goal down to draw the game 1-1.

Daniel Addo gave Faisal the opener in the second half from a freekick as his teammate Mickey Ofosu was sent off later.

Kotoko struggled but managed to draw level when new signing Gideon Baah scrambled in the equalizer from close range in the 89th minute.

Great Olympics' late 1-0 win denied Heart of Lions the chance to close in at the top as the Wonder Club scored a last gasp goal to collect all three points at the El-Wak Stadium.

Midfielder Latif Mohammed tapped the ball into goal after goalkeeper Stephen Ahorlu had spilled a freekick in the 90th minute.

Coach Sellas Tetteh's return to club duties did not go as planned as AshantiGold handed his Liberty Professionals a 3-0 defeat at the Len Clay Stadium.

Eugene Owusu Prempeh gave the Miners a first half lead before Aminu Mohammed and Theophilus Anobah scored the other two goals in the second half.

Champions Hearts of Oak were outplayed at the Wa Park as All Stars won 2-0 with the home side finishing the game with ten men.

Frank Nortey Sowah and Ben Acheampong gave the Blues the needed goals to record their second successive win.

The defeat ahead of the big game against Kotoko on Sunday will come as a blow to Hearts.

Chelsea came from a goal down to beat Sekondi Hasaacas 2-1 at the Coronation Park.

Aduana Stars were 1-0 winners against New Edubiase in the battle between the two newly promoted sides.

Calm seemed to have been restored at Sekondi as John Antwi scored four goals on the day to help Eleven Wise beat Real Tamale United 4-2. Sadat Karim scored both goals for RTU.

The win eases the pressure on the Wise technical team but they still prop the sixteen club table in the Glo Premier League.
