Ghana forward Rahim Ayew is hopeful of making the best out of his career move to Zamalek from local side, Eleven Wise.

Ayew completed a five-year deal on Tuesday after earlier reports had claimed of a move to German side, Hoffenheim.

But his move has been questioned after following Junior Agogo’s experience in the Egyptian league with Zamalek.

However, Rahim, son of Ghana’s Abedi Pele insists it will be entirely up to him to make the Zamalek move a success.

“People think when you move to certain countries that you are finished but it is not always the case,” he said.

“I prefer to use Prince Tagoe as the example. He first went to Saudi Arabia and many people said it was not a good move but he shinned there and is now in Germany.”

“Everything will depend on my hard work in Cairo and maybe if I do well, I will eventually get my dream move to Europe because that is what I really want. In the meantime I have signed for a big club and I am just focused on doing well and winning trophies.”
